Welcome to the home of the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association. Western Pennsylvania is one of the largest concentrations of WVU graduates outside of the state of West Virginia. The Chapter is involved in the important areas of student recruiting, advocacy and job networking. If you currently are not a member we invite you to join us in telling the WVU story and supporting the Mountaineers!
Alumni can become a lifetime member of the chapter for $125, couples are $175. The yearly cost for single members are $20 and couples is $25. Recent graduates receive a 1 year free membership.
The WVU Alumni Association is a separate 501C3 organization dedicated to keeping alumni connected and engaged in the life of WVU through programs, activities, communications, networking and other services.
Our outstanding graduates reside in every county in West Virginia, every state in the Union and approximately 60 foreign nations. You will find them working for NASA, serving in the military and helping to make their communities stronger.
The WVU Alumni Association represents more than 170,000 graduates worldwide—the University's largest constituency.
Join fellow alumni and fans as we cheer on the Mountaineers. We hold gamewatches for all away football games and some basketball games. We also have special gamewatch events for other sports. Stay tuned to our event calendar and facebook for event announcements.
The golf outing is the chapters signature event. Over 100 golfers and alumni gather to enjoy the day on the course and to listen to a guest speaker. Former speakers include: Oliver Luck, Major Harris, Bob Huggins and Randy Mazey. The outing proceeds fund our scholarship programs.
We also have other events such as Pirates Games, WVU College presentations, networking happy hours and WVU night at the Pittsburgh Symphony to name a few. If you would like to organize or publicize a special event, please contact us.
